Reset Planner
Season resets are less scary when you can see the landing spot. Model the soft drop with an adjustable rule, then count the wins back to your badge.
How it works
ladder position = tierIndex ÷ (tiers − 1) (0 = Bronze, 1 = top) kept position = ladder position × keep% projected tier = round(kept position × (tiers − 1)) wins to recover = tiers lost × wins per tier
The "keep %" default is a community-style placeholder [VERIFY the current season's notes]. The planner's job is the shape of the answer: how far the drop is, and what it costs to undo. Methodology.
FAQ
What is the current reset rule?
Season resets apply a soft drop (partway back down the ladder) rather than a full wipe, but the exact rule has varied by season [VERIFY against the current season's patch notes — it is an input here for that reason].
Why plan for the reset at all?
Because placement anxiety is just math you haven't done: knowing you land in Platinum III with a 12-win path back to Diamond turns a scary week into a checklist.
Does my RR carry within the new season?
